PRESS RELEASE

London 25 December 2007:

Panamerican Trophy launches its new website

The PanAm Trophy is an endurance race that brings man and machine to their limits in one of the toughest environment and most spectacular locations on the Planet.

Most of the Indigenous Populations scattered in several countries crossed by the original Panamerican Highway are in danger of disappearing forever. Their 'way of life' is constantly threatened by a modern and rapidly changing world. A world which seems to bend day after day to the power of large Corporations and greedy politicians.

The scope of the PanAm Trophy is not only the competition between the participating Teams whose final aim is to win the race and the prize, but and especially to give 'global exposure' to the sensitive issues that affect the local Populations and the humanitarian and ecological disasters taking place right now in the 21st century in the American continent.

The PanAm Trophy Organizers will give part of the profit generated by the Race and all related Products and Merchandise to a humanitarian project in the Region.

The final prize of USS 1 Million will be split 50/50 between the winning Team and a humanitarian project of their choice.

The next PanAm Trophy will take place between December 2010 and January 2011 and it is a pure 4 X 4 vehicle endurance race, although the Organizers are considering to open it to Motorcycles Racers.

The PanAm Trophy will always promote responsible off-road driving with great respect for the natural and cultural environment. The Race is planned with utmost consideration for the environment at all times and is fully compliant with the Organizers strict environmental commitment, ensuring all CO2 emissions are fully offset. With the commitment to leave a minimal environmental impact and together with our eco-friendly Sponsors, the PanAm Trophy hopes to leave behind a positive legacy and the most spectacular ‘Challenge’ of all times.

The official Route will be published through this website and online press releases. Registration for the Race will be opening in December 2008.

The PanAm Trophy will also have several stages along the Pan American Highway, originally created to connect the entire American Continent.

The PanAm Trophy is open to everyone with a ‘great spirit of adventure’ and ‘willing’ to do something for a good cause.
